Congrats to Accion Client, Bosque Brewing Company for Taking Home the GOLD at this Year’s Great American Beer Festival! premium

Accion client, Bosque Brewing Company of New Mexico won the gold medal at this year’s Great American Beer Fest on Saturday! Bosque won the gold for its Acequia IPA in the Fresh or Wet Hop Ale category, ahead of 34 other competitors in the same category.  This was the 29th year of the Great American Beer Festival, which awards winners in 92 beer categories from 145 different beer styles.  This year had 6,647 submissions from 1,552 breweries across all 50 states and they were evaluated by 242 beer experts from 15 countries. A Big Congrats to the 2016 Experienceship Winner Flounder Brewing Co premium

Yesterday, Samuel Adams announced that Accion client, Flounder Brewing Company of Hillsborough, NJ has been selected as the winner of the 2016 “Brewing the American Dream Experienceship,” a unique mentoring opportunity for craft brewers as part of the Accion and Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream Program.  For the Experienceship, the Flounder Brewing Company team will receive a trip to the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery for specialized coaching and mentoring from a variety of Samuel Adams experts on topics ranging from ingredients sourcing, sales and distribution, packaging, design and more! Flounder Beer Co., will also have the opportunity to create a collaboration beer with Samuel Adams brewers and to attend The Great American Beer Festival.  Flounder Brewing Company was started back in 2005 by Jeremy “Flounder” Lees, his brother Dan and cousin Billy.  They received their first Accion loan of $6,000 to help purchase equipment and move from brewing out …

HISTORICAL CRAFT BEER MEETS ARTISTIC URBAN GARDEN premium

Who would have thought of pairing old school beers with art and cultural programming? Accion client ChuckAlek has done just that through a partnership with Art Produce. ChuckAlek Independent Brewers is opening ChuckAlek Biergarten, a tasting room located in North Park, California. (Yeah, we love the name too!) The unique partnership will ultimately blend “old school beers for new school palates” with the artistic garden, which hosts film screenings and performances, as well as community events.
