The idea in business goes as follows: You may have a great product, but if you don’t believe in it or know how to sell it, you’re probably not going to be that successful. Luckily at Accion, we don’t have that problem!
Since 2011, the Accion U.S. Network staff and Board have worked together to develop, nurture, and advance a network of world-class microfinance organizations for the benefit of creating lasting economic change for small business owners and their communities throughout the United States. It’s an honor to work with our four members nationwide, and we’re excited to tackle the challenges of 2015.
So here’s your chance to get to meet one of our staff and Board members. Learn why Nick Talwar, Accion U.S. Network board member and General Manager of Amazon Lending and Gretchen Ruethling, Director of Corporate Partnerships for the U.S. Network are happy Accionistas.
“I joined the Board because I saw the enormous potential of this uniquely positioned, successful organization to address a real market need in the U.S. for underserved small businesses. The confluence of technology advancement and regulatory changes have led to a whole new set of business models in digital finance. The U.S. Network has the chance to become a scaled national leader in digitally-enabled, locally-delivered lending to underserved businesses and it is a pleasure to help support this great team in the process.”
General Manager, Amazon Lending
“I work at Accion because our small business loan clients are inspirational and work hard to make their communities strong and vibrant. I love that we have the opportunity to help these entrepreneurs realize their dream by connecting them with each other and with the resources they need to grow, not only the capital, but also coaching, mentoring and other educational opportunities to support their success.”
