It’s been one heck of a year for NYC-based Brewla Bars. Owned by siblings Daniel and Rebecca Dengrove, Brewla specializes in all-natural ice pops based on brewed ingredients.

Since receiving a loan through the Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream program and winning the  program’s Pitch Room competition in 2013, Brewla expects to enter more than 1,500 stores in 2015. Last September, Brewla was named a finalist for the 2014 Martha Stewart American Made Awards.

Thanks to ongoing coaching and extensive coaching and mentoring from Samuel Adams, Daniel and Rebecca attribute the program as a major catalyst for their recent growth.

“Winning was incredibly validating for Brewla,” Rebecca said. “Immediately afterward we were published in a number of press outlets like the NY Daily News and Boston Globe. We closed a round of funding that enabled us to bring me on full-time and focus on improving our operations. It has been an amazing year that got off to an amazing start with our Pitch Room win.”
