A huge thank you to Capital One for supporting Accion with a scholarship to participate in the Association for Enterprise Opportunity’s (AEO) 2015 Microbusiness Learning Conference in Atlanta on September 24-25! The conference featured inspiring talks by Donna J. Gambrell, former director of the U.S. Department of Treasury’s CDFI Fund, as well as Michael Schrage, a research fellow at MIT’s Initiative on the Digital Economy. Participants spent two days discussing industry-changing innovations, how they approach their work and collaborate, and new skills and practices to help them achieve greater impact in their jobs. Everyone left feeling energized by the new connections they had made and the knowledge they had gleaned to help them better support small businesses. Thanks to AEO and Conveners.org for organizing an action-packed conference and to Capital One for their continued support for knowledge sharing across the industry.
Here, Daniel Delehanty, senior director of community development banking at Capital One poses with Accion U.S. Network Corporate Partnerships Director Gretchen Ruethling and other Capital One scholarship winners during the conference. Already looking forward to AEO’s 25th anniversary conference in 2016!
